1. Are your classes suitable for all ages? 

Yes, karate is a versatile martial art suitable for all ages.

We offer classes for kids, teenagers, and adults.

Our instructors tailor the training to meet the needs and abilities of each age group. .

2. Do I need prior martial arts experience to join? 

No, prior martial arts experience is not required.

Our classes are designed to accommodate beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Our instructors will guide you through the fundamentals and help you progress at your own pace.

3. What should I wear for karate classes?

Wear comfortable workout clothes, such as a t-shirt and loose-fitting pants.

Once you've enrolled, you may be required to wear a traditional karate uniform (gi). We'll provide information on where to purchase one.

4. What age groups do you offer classes for?

We offer karate classes for various age groups, including:

Children (usually starting around 4 or 5 years old) - Teenagers and Adults.

5. Can I train in karate if I have a physical limitation or disability?

We believe in providing an inclusive environment for all students.

6. Are your classes safe?

Yes, karate is generally safe when practiced under proper supervision and with the necessary safety precautions.

7. How often do I grade and advance to higher belts? 

The frequency of grading and belt advancement depends on individual progress and commitment.

As you improve and master new techniques, you'll be eligible for grading.

On average, students may expect to grade every three to six months initially. However, the time between gradings tends to increase as you progress to higher levels.

8. Are there additional fees for grading and belts?

Yes, there is a nominal fee for grading to cover administrative costs and new belts. Details about grading fees will be provided by our instructors.

9. What is the significance of being affiliated with W.A.K.O GB? 

We are proud to be affiliated with the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations - Great Britain (W.A.K.O GB).

In 2006, it became recognised as the World Governing body for Kickboxing by GAISF and IOC.

This affiliation brings several benefits to our karate class and its members:

- Recognition: In 2022, W.A.K.O GB achieved recognition by three prominent sports organizations: Sport England, Sport Scotland, and Sport Wales. This recognition is significant because it validates the quality and standards of our karate program.

 

- Grading Recognition: As a result of this recognition, all the gradings conducted within our karate class are officially recognised by these sport’s governing bodies. This recognition adds a layer of credibility to your progress and achievements in karate.

Each student must have personal insurance to cover themselves in case of injury during training.

While we take every precaution to ensure safety during classes, personal insurance provides an extra layer of protection.

Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we aim to provide you with all the necessary information to make your karate journey enjoyable and worry-free.
